Results of Friday Night Sew-In

Last night was the February Friday Night Sew-In hosted by Handmade by Heidi.

I worked for a little while on my P&Y Disaster quilt although, I am starting to like the way it is coming out now as compared to how it looked the first time around. Check this post to see how it looked before I took all 72 of the blocks I had completed apart again to re-sew. I know I will be much happier with it now. I may even need to change the name of it...

When it started getting a little later in the evening, I switched to working on a hand paper piecing project that has been going on since at least the beginning of my blog. I talked about it way back here but haven't mentioned it since. That was two years ago and this little project has helped me through some difficult times. It seems to be becoming my therapy quilt.
Hope everyone else enjoyed their time on Friday night!!

  1. Thanks for coming to visit my Friday night sewing. I love your current projects and admire that handsewn piece. My mother does Grandma flower gardens so I know the amount of work that goes into them! Lucky me, I get one of her GFG quilts. It does seem like some quilts are therapy quilts aren't they.

  3. Lovely paper pieced stars... I have a set of these papers, was going to make the stars using my 30s reproduction prints, but use 2 prints for each star... not sure, but I think I like yours better!

  6. Congrats on all you got done! While I might have led you down that garden path, the only sewing I got done was weaving in ends on a knitted project & sewing on buttons. (But I found out what the problem was, so that's good, I guess!)
